Fontana, CA — The City of Fontana Public Works, Parks and Landscape Division invite residents to participate in the Park Clean-up Day taking place at along the Pacific Electric Trail at Oleander and Cypress Avenues on Saturday, June 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
If you are looking to give back to your community while spending time outdoors, join us this Saturday, June 9, at 8:00 a.m. along the Pacific Electric Trail. Staff will be on site with a sign-in sheet and provide volunteers with a schedule for the day. Rakes, shovels and trash bags will be provided. Volunteers are asked to dress comfortably and bring closed-toe shoes or boots. The work will consist of picking up trash, removing weeds, raking and spreading mulch. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.
The Park Clean-Up Day is a reoccurring event that takes place at different locations around the city every month during the year. If you are unable to join us Saturday, June 9, 2018 mark your calendar to join us at one of the following events scheduled in 2018:
July 14, 2018 along the Pacific Electric Trail at Tamarind and Palmetto, August 25, 2018 at the Southridge Bird Farm, September 8, 2018 at Jurupa Hills Park, October 13, 2018 along the Pacific Electric Trail at Alder and Laurel, November 10, 2018 Pacific Electric Trail at Citrus and Tokay, December 8, 2018 at the Southridge Bird Farm.
