Upland, CA – The community, friends and family are invited to attend a Sunrise Worship Service in celebration of Easter with Victory Community Church (VCC), and Fortress Community Church of Chino, CA.
The Joint Sunrise Worship Service will start at 6:00 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014, guest speaker Pastor Lawrence Witherspoon will bring a dynamic message.
Pastor Witherspoon Is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Licensed and ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 1982. Holds a BA in Theology from the California Baptist University, Riverside, California; and a Master of Divinity degree from the Howard University School of Divinity, Washington, DC. He has completed study towards a Doctorate (all but dissertation) in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from the Claremont School of Theology, Claremont, California. From 2013 to 2017 served as a Chaplain Lieutenant Colonel with the California State Military Reserve at March Air Reserve Base, Riverside, California.
Pastor Witherspoon serves as Founding/Senior Pastor of Fortress Community Church, Chino, California.
Pastor Witherspoon and his wife, Shelia have three adult daughters and a granddaughter.
The week leading up to Easter Sunday is called Passion Week which is celebrated as one of the most sacred times of the year for the church and Christians.
Attendees will be presented with a powerful story, a tremendous word, and an impeccable worship service. The community is invited to bring your family and friends.
Following the service, attendees will enjoy a bountiful breakfast prepared for all by the Hospitality Ministry of VCC.
Victory will then have their morning worship service at 9:30 a.m. The community is invited to attend both services.
