Inland Empire — The Inland Empire is celebrating Pride this month with several events, offering a diverse lineup celebrating LGBTQ+ culture, advocacy and community throughout the region.
Pride Month commemorates the June 28, 1969, Stonewall uprising in New York City, which ignited the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement.
A year later, the first Pride marches were held in several cities, including Los Angeles.
In 1999, President Bill Clinton officially recognized June as “Gay and Lesbian Pride Month,” later expanded to include the broader LGBTQ+ acronym in 2009.

Ontario California Pride

LGBTQ+ Book Club @ Cellar Door
When: Monday, June 23, 6-7:30 p.m.
Where: Cellar Door Bookstore, Riverside
This event will be a hybrid book club meeting to discuss LGBTQ-themed literature. There are in-person and Zoom options available.
