Los Angeles, CA — Prominent civil rights and faith leader Rev. K.W. Tulloss has been appointed to head the Western Region of Mobilizing Preachers and Communities (MPAC), a New York–based civil rights and faith-driven organization committed to empowering clergy and communities toward equality, opportunity, and systemic change.
A respected voice in Los Angeles and across the nation, Rev. Tulloss has long stood at the intersection of faith and activism. He previously served for a decade as Western Regional Director of Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network (NAN), where he built a strong presence on the West Coast—training new leaders, organizing local chapters, and establishing NAN as one of the leading voices for social justice in Southern California.
In 2019, Rev. Tulloss became President of the Baptist Ministers Conference of Los Angeles and Southern California, one of the largest and most prominent clergy organizations in the country.
Under his leadership, the Conference gained renewed vitality and expanded its community impact, taking “the church beyond the walls” to address real-world issues of justice and opportunity.
Now, Rev. Tulloss joins Dr. Johnnie Green, MPAC’s National President, in expanding the organization’s mission to the Western region. The new MPAC Los Angeles office will open on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at The Concord Church, 2828 W. Jefferson Blvd. (9th Ave. and Jefferson), Los Angeles. A community reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by the official program at 7 p.m., featuring local and national leaders.
The event marks a new era of faith-based collaboration and civil rights action on the West Coast.
