Pomona’s Inaugural Poet Laureate, David Judah Oliver, Founder of LionLike MindState
Pomona, CA — Fathers and daughters across the Inland Valley are invited to step onto the dance floor this fall for a special evening of music, laughter and family bonding.
On Saturday, Nov. 29, LIOTA (LionLike MindState) will host its Daddy-Daughter Dance at the Metro Event Center, located at 205 East 2nd Street in Pomona, to raise funds for the organization’s Art Literacy Program.
The event will feature two sessions: from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for daughters ages 6 to 12, and from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. for ages 13 to 17.
Tickets are $45 per father-daughter pair and include light food and entertainment, while additional family members can attend for $10 each.
Guests can expect a family-friendly celebration filled with dancing, crafts and creative performances.
Activities include a craft booth by Craft with Pops, face painting by artist Kristy Harte and a silly dance competition judged by Mz. Honey of HoneyBee Dance.
The event will also feature mocktails, photo and video services by IEST, and live DJ sets by DJ Bre-Z and DJ Nina Simone.
Organizers encourage participants to dress up for the “red carpet, suit-and-tie” theme to make the experience even more memorable.
“We welcome the family to celebrate this memorable time,” the event flyer reads, emphasizing that the event is designed to strengthen family bonds while fostering creativity in youth.
All proceeds will go directly toward LIOTA’s Art Literacy Program, which supports creative education and youth empowerment initiatives in the Pomona Valley area.
The event underscores LIOTA’s ongoing mission to combine community engagement with artistic development through programs and public events.
