Rancho Cucamonga, CA--That's exactly what My SystaGyrl Empowers (MSGE) did on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, with residents of The Sunrise at Alta Loma Assisted Living Facility for Valentine’s Day. MSGE passed out "Coverings of Love" blankets and Handmade cards provided by The East Heritage Elementary School fifth grade classes.

Tammi Berry-Fielder, Founder - My SystaGyrl Empowers, has always wanted to adopt a facility that houses special residents afflicted with Dementia and Alzheimer's. It has been a dream to show love and compassion to those who might not always have family and friends to be there for their loved ones. Tammi's dream materialized. In December 2016, Sunrise at Alta Loma Assisted Living Facility was chosen and adopted to put love into the hearts of residents afflicted with dementia and Alzheimer's. MSGE along with donations could purchase "Slippers for Seniors" and handed them out along with singing Merry Christmas Carols to the residents.

Sunrise at Alta Loma Assisted Living Facility is located on Baseline in the city of Alta Loma. It houses approximately 76 residents, 18 who are afflicted by Dementia and Alzheimer's. Their staff is dedicated to giving compassionate and attentive care to all the residents. Hannah, the Activities and Residential Manager has been a great asset with helping Tammi and MSGE shower love and affection at the facility.

Along with MSGE handing out "Coverings of Love" blankets, The East Heritage Elementary School 5th Grade classes of Mrs. Chu and Mrs. Meredith created Valentine cards to be given to our special residents. One card read, "Valentine’s Day is to share with the people you love. If they’re not there with you now, know that I'm here and love whoever you are. God, Bless You with love, 5th grader M. Hernandez". This is what "Putting A Little Love in Your Heart" is all about.
