21st Annual Celebration of Excellence Awards Gala and Dinner

The Inland Valley News Inc. is thrilled to present its 20th Annual Celebration of Excellence Awards Gala and Dinner, to be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Doubletree by Hilton, 222 North Vineyard Avenue, Ontario, California, 91764.

The Celebration of Excellence Awards Gala and Scholarship Dinner is a community outreach program of the Inland Valley

News sponsored together with its affiliated not for-profit, public benefit 501(c)(3) corporation, Shining Glory Publications. The event is one of the few true celebrations of the achievements and contributions of people who help make this community the jewel of Southern California. Last year, hundreds of registered guests, including leaders in business, education, housing, transportation, health care, government, church and media as well as other key decision-makers participated in this annual celebration.

The Publisher’s Awards Recipients are: Jeff Burum, (Diversified Pacific) – Publishers’ Choice; Bessine Richard (San Bernardino Council Member Sixth Ward) – Excellence in Civic Leadership Award; Brian L. Haynes, Ph.D. (Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs UC Riverside) – Excellence in Educational Administration Award; Judge Kirk S. Garvin (Superior Courts of San Bernardino County) – Excellence in Jurisprudence Award; Cora Carmody, (Tech Goddess) –Excellence in Technology Award; Bonnie James, Ed.D., (BR&J Associates) – Excellence in Community Development Award; Dr. Issam Ghazzawi (University of LaVerne) – Excellence Environmental Leadership; Gerald & Brenda Dodd (The Baptist Church of the New Covenant) – Excellence in Faith-Based Community Engagement Award; Tracy Guthrie (The DoubleTree Hotel) Excellence in Hospitality & Tourism Award; Lisa Collins (LA Focus) – Excellence in Media Award; Reggie Webb (CEEM) – Excellence in Economic Development Award.

The Morrow Pancreatic Health Foundation will also benefit from this event also. Inspired by Inland Valley News Founder and Publisher, Tommy Morrow’s nearly fatal bout with severe necrotizing pancreatitis, the Morrow Pancreatic Health Foundation will provide prevention, education, and awareness around pancreatic related illnesses to underserved communities and populations that are prone to inadequate healthcare.
